Clear Creek whitewater rafting trips offer a beautiful canyon and fun for all levels.

The six of us (including two teenage girls) went on the Brown's Canyon rafting Express (class III rapids) run. We had rain, hail, lightning, high water, some sun when it peeked through the clouds, and ... the most fun ever!!

Ariel was our guide. This summer is her first with AVA, but she has guided in Idaho for several years. Her extensive experience showed because we seem to hit the rapids just right, never got stuck or hit anything, no one went for a swim unintentionally, her instructions were calm, and in her own words, everything was "right on".

We all agreed that we loved this rafting trip. The half-day, class III trip was just right for us this time. If we were to go on a longer trip, we'd need time to swim in the eddys (calm water areas) or other rest opportunities, and switch front paddlers.

We decided that we'd try to do this every summer, we had so much fun!

This adventure was more than I ever could have expected. The three white water rafting and zip line guides that my family and I were blessed to have guide us through our day were unbelievable. This was our first white water rafting experience! My husband, 11 year old son and I had such a great adventure! We can't wait to go back next year!!!!!! Big Country, our guide, made it fun, exciting, thrilling yet I felt safe the entire time-- and he provided lots and lots of laughs! Next year we plan on returning for an overnight white water rafting trip and a zip line tour. We stayed two nights in the bunkhouses right at the outpost and they were awesome!!!! It was better than a hotel and very cozy! Thanks AVA for making our 1st experience amazing and as my son, Zach said, "this is the best day of my life!!!"

It was a perfect Father's Day weekend for a Buena Vista rafting trip....in Frisco it was cold with rain/snow. Thought we would freeze to death...the water would have been warmer! But when we arrived that morning at Buena Vista the sun was out and it warmed up perfectly and WHAT A RIDE! The water was fantastic and Chris our guide THE best! We just wanted to turn around and do it again! Thanks for the ride!

We had a great time. I was concerned that our 5 and 7 year olds maybe scared but they were excited as we hit the rapids. They thoroughly enjoyed watching their Dad jump off the rock into the river. He has been bragging about it to everyone as well :) Our guide Katie was funny and knowledegable and it was her birthday! Thanks to Tuna for the lunch recommendation too - the burgers were great! My 23 yr/old daughter (student) and I did The Numbers advanced white water rafting trip and can't say enough about the experience and AVA.

The AVA staff was friendly, nice to everyone and gave excellent instructions regarding the wearing of wetsuits, helmets, life vests, etc. Our guide, Zack, was one of the more interesting guys I've met during 30 plus yrs. of mountain adventure trips. He has a degree in art from West Virginia, has been a river guide for many years, works well with people and provides good guidance in negotiating white water.

Katherine and I couldn't get enough of the rapids. It was exciting, stimulating, and just plain fun. One of the guys fell out of the raft and trying to get him back in was a challenge and was a fun, positive addition to the experience.

The meal Zack and the other guys prepared at the conclusion of the trip was very good and hit the spot. All three did a good job and treated everyone well.

In short, AVA is a first class outfit providing adventure trips that clients will cherish for a lifetime.

This was the 10th time in 14 years I'd taken a group of teenagers whitewater rafting but my first in Colorado. I'd previously booked with another outfitter, however, decided to make a change to AVA about 2 months before our trip. I'm so glad I did!

So, last week, I showed up at the Idaho Springs rafting office with 50 middle school and high school students! Literally before our charter bus doors could open, two AVA Staffers were waiting to greet us! One of them took me to get our group processing started while the other came on our bus and hung with our kids and got them started with the rules and details about our Clear Creek rafting trip.

Everything was perfect. I think they probably distributed wetsuits and dry tops to all of us in like 10 minutes. And, the gear they gave us seemed clean and in great shape. WOW!! Guides really knew the river, were professional, and extremely nice. Garrett was the main leader for my whole group as well as the guide in my raft. Totally top notch dude!

BOTTOM LINE: They killed it! We'll be back next summer.

What a Vacation of white water rafting in the morning and zip line flying in the afternoon...Surf and Turf AVA Style!!! Rachel and Chris Baer were "10 star" AWESOME guides. The river was even more beautiful than last year and I got to see the boat barn where all the magic happens Rachel told us. I never knew that's where boats came from, but it makes sense I guess.

Rafting is always so cool, but I wasn't sure how I would like the new Colorado zip line ride as I am EXTREMELY fearful of high places...and I'm supposed to hang from some cable, fly straight and land where??? But Rachel and Baer realized I would need some additional understanding about these areas and they got me to smile and even scream yahoo pretty quickly. I've good some GREAT pictures to prove it. :>

This was our first mom and son Colorado whitewater rafting/camping trip, we did the 3 Day Mild to Wild on the Arkansas River... our guides, Zach, John and our gear guy, Jason, took such great care of us and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish (and were just such cool guys). From the adventures on the water to the meals the cooked for us, which were beyond what we expected for camping out, we were never dissappointed that we chose to go with AVA. We also had did a zip line tour, also rock climbing and rappelling tossed in there, which were all a ton of fun. We have already started plotting our trip back there in June for high waters, see you guys then!!!

While planning our Colorado family vacation, we decided to be a bit more adventurous and take the kids on a white water rafting trip. None of us had ever experienced this before, so decided to try the beginner trip. We booked our trip at the Breckenridge rafting office and loved how efficient the staff was and how well they answered our questions. We rafted the very next day and had the time of our lives! Pete, our guide, was excellent! He was good to advise us of each obstacle before we came to them. What an adventure! White water splashed in our faces, tons of laughing, and the time of our lives. We were sad when the trip was over and will be sure to plan for a 1/2 day trip the next time we go rafting. This was by far the most fun we have ever had on a family vacation!

If you never rafted before like our group, AVA is the white water rafting company you want to go with!!!!

I have been using AVA for nearly 10 years for Colorado white water rafting trips - always a great experience. This time I took my kids to the Granite AVA - water was running too high down the Arkansas for their age, but the zip line experience filled in the gap and made their day. Our guide (Beth) was fantastic - easy going, social and always smiling. And yes very knowledgeable and safety aware during the whole experience. We will be going back and bring friends/family.

We had a group rafting trip of 17 people and I was really impressed how meticulously our river rafting trip was planned.

Planning a last minute trip I found AVA on-line. I'm an avid outdoorsman and a want-a-be extremest. My hope was to be totally entertained and challenged and at the same time safety was a priority. I signed up for multiple summer activities trying to get a lot into my two days in Colorado. Day one was 'Brown's Canyon Sizzler and Dinner Ziplining'. Wet-suits are provided for the icy water and our guide was great and really professional. He talked you through each rapid and had a great scene of humor in doing so. The rafts had families or groups aging from 10 to 56 yrs old and everyone had fun. Following a grilled steak dinner, the Zip Line tour was amazing as we seemed to be flying high in the tree tops. The guides were awesome and put you totally at ease. After a night in one of the AVA outposts rustic log cabins, rockclimbing the next morning was just as incredible. The guide had patience and allowed you to really challenge yourself while feeling safe the whole time. Horseback riding that afternoon in the foot hills was at a different site, but the arrangements were taken care of by the AVA outpost staff. This simplified my trip and the staff's professionalism put me at ease the entire time. This just may have been an adventure of a life time. Thank you AVA staff!
